I am giving this review from a customer pov and also from product development pov.
Customer POV: The packaging is great and the way it is given in a cup looks new and creative idea in terms of appeal. However, based on the instructions and usage it looks very complicated compared to a simple green tea brewing. Furthermore, as a customer I do not know whether what I’m doing is getting me the intended result or not. Questions that generally comes in my mind while using your product:
1) Am I getting all the essence of the green tea or is there any wastage ??
2) Am I following the instructions correctly enough to get it right ?
3) do I need to check on YouTube regarding how to properly do it in case I am missing out on some nitty gritty during the entire process ?
4) If I need 4 cups of green tea (200-250ml each) then how many times per cups do I need to use to get that ??
Product development POV:
Packaging and look is great and taste is nice too ( used kawah flavour) however, boiling water then later on just putting 1/2 tsp of green tea leaves and keep it for 10-15 mins to brew is far more easy/traditional than taking a certain amount in a cup, swirl it around, and transfer it into another cup.
Overall, though the workings might be more affective than the tradition way, it is still quite new for the customer to know if they are doing it correctly.
E.g: if I am someone who knows how to make a good cup of tea, then no matter what brand of tea leaves I use, as long as I am following the same process I know that I am getting the most out of it. However, for a complete novice, same thing cannot be told as that person will be thinking whether he/she is putting right amount or is he/she boiling the milk long enough or not and so on.
Suggestions:
Sorry for such long msg but I would like to suggest some stuff for more customer connection:
1) Make your product novice friendly: As the product owner, you know how it works and you can even gauge based on the result whether the process you did was right or not but that’s not true for everyone.
2) The overall process needs to be a bit more straightforward as not all will have the patience to pour, swirl, and transfer.
3) after paying a certain amount and later knowing that I am not getting 100g tea leaves or 20 tea bags. Instead, I am getting these cups with pre-filled tea leaves doesn’t looks money’s worth.
Overall if you can use these cup types as sample tasting kits for customers to know what all flavours you have to offer and then based on that if you supply tea leaves of same flavour with instructions for how one can make a perfect green tea without making changes to the traditional approach then this product can have more customer connection and traction.
Thank you. I hope my feedback makes some sense and hope it helps in anyway. I apologise in advance if any of my statement sounded negative or rude. Hope you have a great day. Cheers.
